The Coastal Oregon Marine Experiment Station invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, tenure track Assistant Professor position.
This position is expected to provide expertise in aquaculture, and to contribute to the research and outreach missions of the Coastal Oregon Marine Experiment Station. The incumbent will develop and maintain an externally funded program conducting original and independent research, training and outreach in aquaculture, with emphasis on shellfish and seaweeds. The incumbent will have an academic home in an appropriate department in the College of Agricultural Sciences ( CAS ), such as the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences ( FWCS ), the Department of Microbiology, or the Department of Food Sustainability and Technology. The academic home serves as the source of review for tenure and promotion, teaching assignments and curriculum development, and student advising and support.As a member of the Coastal Oregon Marine Experiment Station ( COMES ), the incumbent will be expected to work closely with coastal communities and federal, state, and private organizations in support of the COMES mission
