As a member of the Stone Creek leadership team, the Food & Beverage Director helps bring to life a high-performance culture that develops, empowers and recognizes great employees and delivers five-star service, and immaculately clean and welcoming facilities to members and guests. In decisions and actions, the F&B Director is guided by Stone Creek’s TAKE CARE Service principles.

Job Summary The Cafe & Grill Manager is responsible for the vision, day to day operations of our Food & Beverage offerings in a world class health club to ensure delivery of superior customer service, achievement of high employee and member satisfaction and performance relative to club goals and profitability.

  • Director Level position — 45-50 hours per week. (15 Hrs Cooking)
  • Responsible for the overall operations of the Food & Beverage Department.

Core areas of responsibility:

  • Kitchen Staffing, training, accountability for staff performance.
  • This position will be “Hands On“ in the kitchen.
  • Café Counter Staffing, training, accountability for staff performance.
  • Revenue generation, marketing and promotions
  • Food cost, labor, and expense management and Profit maximization.
  • Menu creation, maximization and costing
  • TAKE CARE Service for members utilizing the F&B services for the club.
  • Manage and grow facility rentals – Conference room, tower bar, and parties.
  • Maintain hospital grade cleanliness and photo readiness of all F&B areas and member dining areas
  • Review, enhance, increase, and own the Catering and party / banquets business line.
  • With an approachable management style, build a Team that engages and builds a robust and performance driven department. Recruits, selects, trains, and develops talent while maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment. Trains and monitors employees while evaluating their performance and productivity.
  • Ability to Work both front of house service positions and Kitchen operations to ensure proper training, execution, and operations of the Food & Beverage Department.
  • “Hands on” management of all F&B operations and “Daily Rounds” of The Café and Club.
  • Work on , support, staff, and lead select Club events, programs, and cross club committees. Lead special projects as needed.
  • Ensures the successful integration of the Food & Beverage Department to the Club
  • Place high emphasis on the importance of the social element. This includes participation in planning and execution of club events as needed, such as Member Party, Tennis socials and tournaments, Pool and member events.
  • MOD Rotation - works in the Manager on Duty System and ensures appropriate supervisory coverage in the Café at all times via Manager on Duty (MOD) system.
  • Work day of what it is necessary to successfully accomplish the job. Usually days. Nights and weekend coverage and rotating time as needed. Typically 3-4 evenings per month, 2-3 weekend days per month. Summer season may increase weekend coverage needs.

Knowledge/Experience Required

  • Two Year College degree in business or relevant degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Food & Beverage management experience
  • Knowledge & understanding of Health Department and State licensing codes
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive member relationships and provide outstanding customer service
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to effectively delegate
  • Strong team building skills including ability to lead, train, cooperate and contribute as part of a team
  • Committed to learning, personal growth, and continual process improvement
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willing to "roll-up" sleeves and dig in with staff to drive processes that support the business
  • Exceptional leadership skills - Self-motivated, strategic thinker, positive attitude
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment. Can adapt to change and problem solve.
  • Tech Proficient with POS, Menu costing, Microsoft Office, and social media

Compensation:

  • Full time salaried position.
  • Salary commensurate with experience and expertise. Plus monthly Bonus on Net Income of department
