We are excited to welcome a new member to our team as an Entry Level Pet Groomer at Animology. This role offers the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of pet grooming while working alongside experienced professionals who are dedicated to the well-being of animals.

Career Progression: Upon completion of the entry-level training program and accumulating 1500 hours, you would be eligible to start training as a finished pet groomer, gaining additional skills and responsibilities within the company.

Responsibilities

•Bathe, brush, and trim the nails of 8-12 pets per shift with meticulous care and attention to detail, while strictly adhering to safety protocols for both humans and pets
•Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use
•Monitor pets for any signs of discomfort, health issues, or behavior changes during the grooming process and report them to senior staff members
•Provide friendly and attentive customer service to pet owners, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
•Document grooming services provided and any special instructions or requests from pet owners accurately
•Assist with general tasks around the grooming salon, such as cleaning kennels, laundry, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and cleaning common areas

Qualifications

•High school diploma or equivalent
•Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions from senior staff members
•Genuine love and compassion for animals, with a desire to be the best and continue learning throughout your time at Animology
•Willingness to adhere to grooming standards and best practices established by Animology
•Flexibility to work weekends and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day
•Maintain a professional demeanor as a service technician at all times
•Responsible, hardworking, and reliable
•Loves working outside
