Summary
Timberline Learning Center is a Reggio Inspired Early Learning Program in Breckenridge Colorado. We are hiring an Infant Mentor Teacher to guide and support the growth and development within the Early Toddler classroom, with students ages ages 1-2.5 years, and partner with four dedicated teammates. Timberline Learning Center cares for children ages six weeks to six years with incredible ratios, a strong team, and an inspiring approach that embraces an Emergent Curriculum. We believe in building community within our school while partnering with the many wonderful organizations and opportunities in our outside community. Some of the primary responsibilities will includebuilding strong partnerships with colleagues and families, recognizing and nurturing the many competencies of your students, embracing the natural world, and utilizing open-ended materials within the classroom. Our mentor teachers embrace the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning to support students, their families, and co-teachers.
Duties Communicate in a positive and meaningful manner with children, parents, families, and colleagues
Model teaching that honors the rights of the children
Delegate and participate in classroom caretaking
Provide in classroom support and training for co-teachers and develop specific and measurable goals for individual co-teachers and team as a whole
Provide coaching and support to co-teachers to empower their teaching skills and professional growth as educators;
Develop competency in use of ASQ III and ASQ SE as valuable classroom tools
Ensure that communication occurs within team
Guide Team Planning; and provide guidance to team on intentional individual planning
Meet with families on regular basis to share and receive insight on students
Administrative Duties:
Fill in for Admin on an “as needed” basis
Engage in “move up” conversations that are based on supporting the students and their families and creating opportunities for growth
Have working knowledge of State Rules and Regulations for childcare facilities and know how to locate for reference.
Requirements Achieve the Colorado Shines Early Childhood Professional Level 3 Credential
Available to work full-time
Demonstrate flexibility in teaching practice.
Secured housing in Summit County or surrounding areas.
Clear full background check.
Ability to work well and effectively communicate with others.
Effective time management
Willingness to further understanding of philosophy and curriculum.
Patience, warmth, and kindness.
Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the TLC employee handbook and classroom orientation
Nice To Haves ECE bachelors or masters degree, Reggio Emilia coursework, Colorado Director certification Reggio Emilia coursework
