Responsibilities:
• Efficiently manage and process new client/matter requests, client bills, time reports, and expense reports.
• Handle the word processing of drafts, revisions, and final documents for client-related matters, ensuring accuracy in copy and format.
• Prepare prosecution filings for review and approval by attorneys/agents, including preparation of all USPTO forms.
• Manage the filing of U.S. and Foreign applications through PCT Easy/EFS Web, staying updated with upgrades related to electronic filing systems.
• Monitor client files and deadlines in PAIR, Pattsy Wave, and other monitoring services.
• Handle the preparation and filing of assignment recordations with the USPTO.
• Manage client correspondence through various e file sharing systems.
• Estimate filing costs and communicate them as necessary.
• Distribute and handle completed work, whether electronically or via mail, courier, or express service.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and manage meetings and appointments, ensuring a detail oriented reception of clients/guests.
• Maintain electronic files and dockets of cases for attorneys, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with patent prosecution work is required
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Patent and Trademark rules, processes and procedures
• Should have strong familiarity with legal terminology related to Intellectual Property
• Strong calendar management skills to coordinate meetings, court dates, and deadlines.
• Must be knowledgeable with the following IP related technologies: EFS Web, the USPTO website, and PAIR
• Working knowledge preferred of (Netdoc; Chrome River; In Tapp Time)
• Expertise in Intellectual Property - Patent, including filing and prosecution procedures.
• Must be strong with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint -- plus excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary
