Oconto Bellin Hospital has a Student Nurse Technician opportunity available with the Medical Unit! Location: 820 Arbutus Ave, Oconto, WI 54153
Shift Hours: Casual Part Time (8-16 hours/week), flexible - accommodating school and clinical rotations Job Description: Our medical unit is an 8-bed critical access unit with a cohesive team environment that improves medical diagnosis such as pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, and much more. Our typical patient to nurse rations are 1:4 on day and pm shifts, and 1:6 on night shift. Under the direct supervision of an RN: Responsible for providing quality care and monitoring of patients. Maintains safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors; maintains properly functioning equipment and availability of equipment, supplies and drugs. Assists physicians; informs physicians of relevant information; provides support to families. Participates in an assistance capacity to RN but cannot perform the functions of assessment and evaluation in their entirety. The position of Student Nurse Technician will only be available up to six months from the date of graduation.
Qualifications: Education: Transcripts or verification from appropriate college indicating school status required. Must meet one of the following requirements: - RN student entering senior year of a four- year Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.
- RN student entering final semester of a three-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.
- RN student entering final seven months of a 15-month Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.
- RN student entering final semester of content for an Associate Degree RN Program.
