CrimeOnline , a leading voice in breaking crime news, is on the hunt for a  Production Assistant to join the  Crime Stories with Nancy Grace podcast and television show. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about the world of true crime, breaking news, and courtroom drama, with hands-on experience working alongside a top-tier team. As a production assistant, you will be deeply involved in every step of the production process, from technical setup to content creation.

This role offers the chance to collaborate with an experienced production team to deliver high-quality, compelling content to our audience. You’ll play a vital role in shaping the show’s success and learning from the best in the business. Location: New York, NY (on-site)

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with the Executive Producer & Host: Work side-by-side with the executive producer to ensure every aspect of production runs smoothly—from planning and prepping to execution.
• Element Gathering & Creation: Identify and prepare compelling visual assets to support show segments and digital content. Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Premiere a plus.
• In-Depth Research: Conduct thorough research, gather materials, and provide valuable insights to support the production team and Nancy Grace’s unique voice on air.
• Script Writing & Editing: Write, edit, and refine scripts to ensure the show flows seamlessly.
• Handle Permissions & Licenses: Ensure proper permissions and licenses for all archived audio materials used in the show.
• Manage Inquiries: Monitor and respond to social media and email inquiries related to the show to ensure fan engagement.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with and the production team to maintain and elevate the show’s established standards.
• Support On-Air: Assist Nancy Grace with news updates, research insights, and commentary during live tapings.

What You Need:

• Media Experience: Previous experience in radio, podcasting, or television news is a must.
• True Crime Enthusiast: A passion for breaking news, courtroom trials, and the world of true crime.
• Self-Starter: Able to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Writing & Communication Skills: Clear, concise, and professional writing for scripts, show notes, and social media.
• Adaptable Schedule: Must be flexible and able to work around Nancy Grace’s schedule for taping new episodes.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working with broadcast and sound editing equipment.
• Journalism Background: An understanding of journalism is a plus!
