**POSITION SUMMARY: Provide a professional atmosphere of park safety, security, and related service.**
**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Supervise personnel and equipment assigned in a professional manner.
* Develop, direct, and manage security and safety programs.
* Hire, train, and discipline security and safety employees in accordance with park policy.
* Maintain liaison with local police, fire, EMS and county officials.
* Maintain liaison with other security and safety organizations within the community.
* Workers Comp and General Liability Claims Oversight and Administration
* Serve as a staff advisor on security and safety related matters.
* Guide, assist, monitor, and counsel team members to ensure they are motivated, creative, and effective team members.
* Review all security and safety matters generated on related control documents, forms, logs, and reports.
* Any other responsibilities, projects, or tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
**SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Strong leadership and team building skills with the ability to work independently.
* Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience supervising large teams and interfacing with all levels of management.
* Available to work a variety of hours or shifts, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and travel.
* Valid Drivers License
* High school diploma: Bachelors degree in management (or related field) preferred.
* Ability to obtain Level II security licensing through Texas DPS within the first three months of employment.
* Ability to obtain OSHA 30 General Industry Certification within the first six months of employment.
* Ability to obtain an Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification through the National Registry of EMTs within the first year of employment.
