Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is currently seeking a Smartphone App Sr Engineer to lead in SPA development & validation at our Superior Township, MI facility. This position is in the department of Infotainment & Connected Car System SW Development that undertakes various innovation projects related to SPA, server, and connected car systems software development for connected car service (SPA)

Job Description

• Lead in the validation and development for Connected Car Smartphone App
• Define test processes and procedures for optimal performance
• Ensure SPA is functioning per designed requirements and specifications
• Responsible for refining, creating and executing test cases based on E2E performance of the SPA
• Enhance and establish automated test capabilities to gauge performance and quality
• Create a monitoring dash board registering test results and provide app operation health reports
• Set up communication channel with relevant teams
• Work with relevant teams and troubleshoot defects found with the SPA performance
• Lead team in collaboration with overseas R&D on process and validation results
• Preparation and presentation of technical reports, e.g. error status, development status, and plan, etc.

Skills and Knowledge

• Must have ability to independently learn new concepts quickly to continuously meet new demands and new projects.
• Knowledgeable of validation & test methodology for all aspects of SPA
• Experience with server/cloud with relation to connected car and SPA
• Strong knowledge of developing process and test scenarios for efficient and effective validation
• Past experience with automated tools and establishing dash boards to monitor performance

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of technology, tools, and test methods for SPA
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks according to stated deadlines and quality guidelines
• Self-starter with ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent analytical and "problem solving skills"
• Good verbal and written communications and presentation skills
• Initiates learning and adopting new and state of the art technologies and automated test tools for SPA verification
• Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally (up to 20%)

Education and Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical engineering or a combination of education and equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred
• 3 years of experience in Smartphone App in a Connected Car environment
• Experience working in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
• Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Driving Record
