Job Description

CBIZ is partnering with a top Los Angeles law firm in the search for a Second Shift Word Processor for their downtown office. This hybrid position offers a fantastic opportunity with a prestigious law firm, requiring in-office presence for two days per week and the option to work from home for three days once trained.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to attorneys and paralegals by creating, editing, and formatting legal documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Use advanced formatting techniques to ensure documents comply with court rules and requirements
  • Maintain and update document templates
  • Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure that documents meet their requirements
  • Utilize document management systems to store and retrieve documents
  • Provide training and support to other legal staff on the use of document management systems and advanced formatting techniques

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal word processor ( PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE)
  • Strong knowledge of legal document formatting and court rules
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with document management systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK A SECOND SHIFT STARTING BETWEEN 3:30 AND 4:00 PM.

The salary for this position is in the low-mid $80s, DOE.
